Product description

High quality, premium dry food for adult cats, with an 80% meat content. Suitable for cats with allergies, this food is 100% grain free and contains less than 15% carbohydrates.

Applaws Dry is a unique complete diet for adult cats. It simulates the natural diet of a cat in the wild in a dry kibble form. Cats are carnivores and their digestive system is adapted to thrive on a diet high in natural animal proteins. The natural cat diet only contains 1 to 5 % plant content from the intestines of prey. The cereals found in many other dry pet foods cannot be utilised and are difficult to digest for cats. Surplus carbohydrates are not saved but are converted into glycogen or fat. The result can be obesity, liver or pancreas disease and even diabetes.
Applaws Chicken dry cat food uses meat as its only source of protein and can be effectively converted into energy by your cat. It is also suitable for cats with allergies and food intolerances.

Applaws Dry contains no artificial preservatives. Added antioxidants for longer preservation of the food are derived from natural selenium and natural tocopherol which can have an additional positive effect on your cat's health and vitality.

Natural omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids strengthen the fur and skin structure and give your cat's coat a glossy shine. Applaws Dry also contains cranberry extract to support the urinary and digestive tracts.

Large bag had to be thrown
Used Applaws chicken for my NFC for almost 3 years but the last large bag I ordered he will not eat (neither does our neighbour's cat and he used to enjoy sharing!) Should have taken notice of the reviews!!!

So good
My 2 love this food, proper meat content...looks good enough to eat myself lol Don't know where all these reviews come from making your cat sick....its human grade food I just don't get how it can make them sick it's got simple real ingredients

Great, but only the smaller bags.
My cat is intolerant to most cat food but tolerates this well, however, I will now only buy it in 2kg bags. Several times I have had problems with the 7.5kg bags with the food having gone off. When I contacted the manufacturer they said they had a problem with the packaging and were looking into it.

Damp food???
I had high hopes for this food but on being opened, the food was damp. My one cat kept vomiting it up. Neither was keen on it. Do not buy!

Didn't work for Milo
It might have been a good product but not sure why, my cat has been steadily losing weight since I put him on Applaws chicken only. So had to switch to another brand altogether, Milo didn't seem too sad about the change, won't buy again.

Smaller bag is different to the big ones
Purchased smaller size bag which was good and kittens loved it. Decided to order the 10kg bag. Once opened it wasn't the same content as the smaller bag, size & colour was different. Kittens didn't eat it.

Sammy's favourite
Our very fussy boy's favourite! He thinks they are treats rather than just dry food!

Only food I can count on
My two young cats have been very fussy with what they will eat and one also has a very sensitive tummy. This has made it a nightmare trying to find a food that they both like and can both digest. This along with Feringa wet food is the only food that they enjoy and agrees with their tummies. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent
Have 7 year old rescue cat who only eats dry food. Wanted her to eat more healthy meat based food. At first she completely refused but slow transition, literally teaspoon at a time mixed with old food over 2 weeks, she now loves Applaws. Hardly have any vomiting now, she hasn't had a hairball in ages. So much better than on previous low meat brands.

Bad Recipe Change
My cats used to eat this, but not anymore. Most definitely a change in recipe. Why change somthing for the worst its the same with human food they have to mess when it's not needed. I have EMAILED APPLAWS AND SO SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE AND RETURN TO OLD RECIPE.

Allergic reaction?
After reading the other reviews, we're now wondering if one of our cats has had an allergic reaction. Sadly, we've just finished giving them the sample bag. She's almost 2 years old and starting scratching and pulling out her fur. She's on her second lot of antibiotics and and had a bald patch on her head and sores on her neck, legs and bottom. The vets ruled out any sort of parasite. I was just about to buy a bigger bag, but won't now, just in case.

My fussy cats love
My Ragdolls are extremely fussy especially my girl, they have converted to this over a expensive wet food. Every meal time is now a exciting time, I’ve saw a few reviews of sickness etc but this has been the opposite for me so I would highly recommend

Perfect all round
My two 1 year old tabbies can’t get enough of Applaws dry food. They started on kitten food and have now transitioned to adult food without any issues. We had to buy high-quality food as they both had sensitive tummies in the early days, they took to Applaws straight away and we haven’t looked back since! They are the healthiest cats I have ever seen with the most incredible silky smooth coats, I think that’s down to the quality of this food.

Cat's coat has strong smell of the dried food
I have always been pleased with Applaws dry cat food. However, recently their coats seem to smell of the food, has any one else been aware of this. My cat's are not being ill or sick in any way.

Avoid
Cats have eaten this for years, now won't touch it. Probably a good thing looking at other reviews. Clearly been a recipe change, and not for the better. They should really inform people when they are making these changes so people don't waste nearly £40 on a bag of food that is no use to anyone.
